CHAMPS Boston and NFL Play 60 are teaming up
Looking for a FREE, fun and healthy activity for your child during February school break?
CHAMPS Boston and NFL Play 60 are teaming up to offer a great program for children to:
Participate in flag football skill-development training
Play in a flag football tournament
Learn the importance of healthy nutrition and “eating to perform”
Meet professional and collegiate athletes and legends
Enjoy nutritious snacks

Boston-area children in grades K-8
When:
Tuesday, February 19th Kickoff for all age groups* 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Wednesday, February 20th
Grades K-2* 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Thursday, February 21st
Grades 3-5 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Friday, February 22nd
Grades 6-8 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
*Children in grades K-2 must be accompanied by an adult
Note: All children must be pre-registered and have waivers signed by a parent or guardian.

Children should wear appropriate athletic clothing and sneakers and plan to
participate in the program both days.
Older children may be dropped off at the discretion of their parents or guardians.
CHAMPS
trains volunteer coaches in youth development and the importance of physical activity,
nutrition, injury prevention and safety.
NFL Play 60 is the
National Football League’s campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day.

We at the Perkins Community Center would like to welcome Big Sisters as they visit our center to present a fun filled evening of discussion and learning what it takes to be a Big Sister! If you are over 18 and are a female, we welcome you to our center on Thursday, Jan. 17th at 7pm.

Happy New Years from BCYF Perkins Community Center
Happy New Year Boston! First, we
want to thank you for making BCYF one of
the biggest and best basketball league operations in Boston. We very much
appreciate your business and support. Best wishes to you for a happy and
healthy New Year.
As a thank you to all of you who
will be playing with us in Winter 2013, we will be hosting a FREE night of
Basketball on Wednesday nights in January. So...if you have yet to sign up, NOW

Basketball - Indoor leagues continue in January! – Our Pee Wee Youth Basketball League is going on strong every
Saturday! If you are in the area and
wish to see our league in action, please stop by and talk with one of our
coaches. Saturdays 9am-1pm. Not open for
new players.
Plus, in January, we are having Video Game Night in the Theater! Wednesdays Jan. 9 and 30th. Starting at 6-8:30pm at the Perkins Community
Center.
Big Sisters! Are you interested in becoming a Big Sister? Big Sisters are community members, female,
age 18 and over who are interested in giving back to their community by
spending time with a matched “little Sister”.
Ms. Morgan Randall will visit the Perkins Community Center to give us
some fun stories about what it’s like to be a Big, as well as learning the
benefits of the Big Sisters organization.

Boston University Womens
Basketball - Hit the Agganis Arena with us as
we take a group of fans to go watch BU Womens Basketball. The game is on Jan 12th and we
will leave the Perkins Community Center @12pm on Sat. Jan 12.
